Junior Company + Aspire

It’s that time of year! Dancers age 8-18, we invite you to audition for our 2024-25 season of Junior Company plus our brand new and much-requested program, Aspire.

Junior Company/Petit Junior Company

Petit Junior Company Audition (ages 9-11):
Saturday 6/15 12:00-1:15pm

Junior Company Auditions (ages 12+):
Saturday 6/15 + Saturday 6/22 (please contact us to schedule an audition time)

Junior Company is a select group, by audition only, for dancers who are fully committed to their art form and are aiming for a career in professional dance.

Dancers in this program will be expected to keep up a full-time class schedule for their level as well as weekly rehearsals for solo and/or ensemble pieces that will be performed at competitions such as YAGP, California Dance Classics, ADC | IBC, and more!

They will also participate in our two ballet productions each year, The Nutcracker and a spring show which varies from season to season. Our repertoire includes Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and more.

Our young dancers, ages 9-11, are invited to join our Petite Jr. Company and older dancers, ages 12-18 are invited to join our Junior Company.

Each group has a special class each week for Petite Jr. Company/Junior Company members only where they will get to work closely with the directors to refine their technique and get them closer to their biggest goals and dreams.

Aspire

Auditions: June 15th 12:00-1:15pm for ages 9-11
June 22nd for ages 12-18

New for the 2024-25 season, we would like to introduce our brand new program, Aspire!

This program is open to dancers aged 8-18.

For years we have had dancers and their families coming to us wanting to have the Junior Company experience, but time and busy schedules made that commitment more difficult. That is where the Aspire program comes in!

Aspire is comparable to Junior Company, but allows dancers and their families to have a bit more flexibility with their busy schedules. This program is perfect for dancers who just love ballet and want to explore the possibilities.

The weekly class requirements and rehearsals for this program are less demanding for those with busy schedules, but dancers will still have an opportunity to receive coaching and mentorship from ABA teachers and directors.

They will have an opportunity to perform solo and/or ensemble pieces at competitions such as Youth Ballet Masters. Dancers will perform in at least one competition during the season, but may add more as approved by ABA directors.
